A strong unified British Empire is good for all
Taxation takes away from property (i.e. money, goods)
People have rights that no government can take away
Taxes are due to the French and Indian War which was fought to protect the colonies
There's no way the colonies could ever be represented-Parliament is too far away
Colonist are British subjects and should obey the law
American colonies would be weak without Britain
Colonies profit from trade with Britain
Colonist have fought and died in the French and Indian War (we've done our part)
Colonist have no voice in Parliament, so they can't tax us
