It takes years to become a doctor. First, you go to a four-year college. After that, you go to a college only for people who are becoming doctors. Next, you work in a hospital with real doctors. Finally, you decide what type of doctor you will be.

A car has four wheels and at least two doors. People drive it by using a steering wheel. However, a motorcycle only has two wheels. It has no doors. People drive it by using handlebars. Both cars and motorcycles have engines, but they are different.

Most streets in the world are made of concrete, dirt, or gravel. These surfaces are meant for cars, trucks, bicycles, and walkers. However, the city of Venice, Italy, has some very different streets. They are canals, filled with water for boats.

The chemical that makes fireflies glow also helps protect them. Other bugs might want to eat the fireflies. If they do, they discover that the chemical makes the bugs taste bad. For this reason, other bugs learn not to eat fireflies.

Green turtles live in the ocean. People used to hunt them to make turtle soup, as well as for their meat. They also were hunted because people wanted to use their skin for leather. As a result, the green turtle population is much lower.

To make butter, first you milk a cow. Then you separate the cream from the milk. Next, you put the cream in a churner. You use the churner to mix the cream. After a long time, the cream starts to become solid. After mixing longer, butter forms.

A bumblebee is a funny-looking creature. It has six fuzzy black legs that are very skinny. It has a fat, fuzzy body that has black and yellow stripes. It has two small wings on its back. A bumblebee flies very slowly and not in a straight line.

A butterfly has not been a butterfly its whole life. This insect starts out as a caterpillar. Then, it wraps itself in a cocoon. While it stays in the cocoon, its body changes. After it emerges from the cocoon, it flies away as a butterfly.
